The Hannibal Cardiovascular Institute is a continuation of current hospital cardiac services plus new and advanced capabilities. The focus of the Hannibal Regional Medical Group Cardiology Team is to analyze and interpret various diagnostic tests related to the heart and circulatory system, and to treat those conditions which place the patient at risk. The goal of the invasive cardiologists is to identify the potential for future cardiovascular problems and begin specific treatment regimens to minimize their occurance.

Among the special diagnostic studies and procedures to be performed are cardiac catheterizations, echocardiograms, holter monitoring, nuclear stress testing, pacemaker placement and management, and vascular ultrasounds.

The Hannibal Regional Medical Group Cardiology Team recently moved into the newly acquired Shinn Lane Medical Building, formerly known as Fountain Court. Ambulatory and office cardiology services will be offered from this location. Outpatient, invasive and interventional cardiology services will continue to be provided at the hospital.
